Two months old!

Jack is 2 months old now. He's a happy baby! Jack is now cooing, laughing, squealing and mimicing our expressions! He loves to flirt and can turn his head side-side.

Jack loves to fall asleep on his mommy.

This is at the church picnic. It's been really hot lately!

Jack seems so interested when Morgan reads to him. He gets really excited. It's so cute!

Mariners game!

We when to a Mariner's baseball game. They played the Orieles. We had a great time, even though they lost 4-12.

It was Jack's first game! We got him a cap. The noisy crowd put him to sleep, which is just his cup of tea. The guest services folks gave him a pennet.

Moody baby

Jack loves to practice his expressions. Sometime he goes from one to another in a few seconds depending on how he feels. He's quite entertaining.

Cranky

Happy one moment...
...and sad the next.

With the discovery of the pacifier there is a whole other relm of comfort. Here Jack is ready to go on a walk in his stroller.

Jack is starting to track more. Here is looking right at me. He likes to sleep on Morgan's pillow when he's not looking.

Just being a sweet baby.

Jack spit up on Dad! Look how patient he is!

And just a few minutes later Gen gets it too! It must've been something I ate. Sometimes I wanna cry like Jack. After he got me, I had to laugh.

Hiking and fun

We went hiking in the forest. Jack rode in his Infantino. He goes right to sleep when he is in it, because it makes him think he's back in the womb (very comforting).

Jack loves to make faces. They don't always correspond with his mood.

At bedtime Jack gets swaddled snuggly in his blanket. But doesn't always want to sleep.

There are Happy Hours and unhappy hours.

It has been difficult to learn how to nurse. Both Gen and Jack are learning. Jack often puts his hand right in front of his face, but then cries when they get in the way of him sucking. So we helped him out by pinning them down (just while he eats...really).

Anniversary and Bath

Gen and Morgan have been married for 4 years! We went out to dinner for the first time with Jack. It was wonderful to have sushi again!

The chef and his assistant honored Jack by bowing to him to congratuate him on his arrival into the world.

This one's a little blurry but I thought it was a cute family photo

He is not too thrilled

Clean baby. He doesn't quite understand what just happened to him.

The first week with baby Jack

Jack is practicing his expressions

Jack is good at sucking, pooping, peeing, sleeping and crying. What a talented little boy!

The boys doing math homework. Morgan is taking his last class to get his degree.

Jack is still a little confused about this new big, bright world he is in right now. He still thinks it's too bright.

Jack prefers to be swaddled for comfort.
