December

We went to cut down our Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving

One last smile from Dad as he goes under to saw down a Frasier for us. It's perfect!

The Hiller's and Grammy, Grandad and Dane got their trees too and later joined us for a tractor ride around the farm. (Fun for kids)

Watch out! There are little bears in the forest!

Sitting and visiting

Jack is learning to sit up. Note he hasn't graduated from the training pillow yet. And yes, that is a ducky he is sucking on.

There! He is upright by himself. With just a little help from Mom's foot behind him.

Jack sometimes gets so excited he breathes fast and screams. His exuberance is so fresh and thrilling and self-perpetuating!

Morgan is still down in Alabama, but he will be home soon! This shows him working hard on a beach in Florida last weekend. But really, he says he misses his family and said it's not that much fun down there by himself.

Morgan's 29th Birthday. Missing his family. Um. Yeah. He does have some friends who took him out to have a good time thankfully...I think.

Jack and Grandad Bill. Jack loves to grab faces (and everything else) to explore how they feel. Sometimes he's not very gentle.

We enjoyed visiting Helenka. She made a wonderful dinner for us! Jack wasn't so sure about the dog.

Halloween

Reading one of Jack's favorites, "Good Night Moon". (Thank you Val!)
Jack was the cutest little tiger for Halloween.
We went over the Hiller's for Halloween and also celebrated Juliette's birthday!
Jack and his cousins Gigi (Alicein Wonderland) and Tristin (The White Ribbit)

Went tricker-or-treating with the family in downtown Enumclaw. Beau and Liz were Furbe's.

Congrats Dane! He just achieved Eagle Scout.

Jack is getting grabby. (Yes, that's his sock in his mouth)

Just chill'n in his rocketship pajamas

He is getting quite good at bouncing in his "Jacky Jump Up"

Jack loves to stand and play in his walker. His legs are too short so I have to put thick books under him so he can push up.
Everything always goes in the mouth!

Gen's brother Beau on the right. He and his friend Matt love to perform as mimes.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! Jack is starting to pull himself up to sit!

Loves his Uncle Eddie!

We had a surprise 80th Birthday Party for Nana! The theme was "God Save the Queen" so we all dressed up.

Juliette and Genevieve-"there were never such devoted sisters!"

Tristan and Jack--dressed up and handsome, though not exactly comfortable.

The whole family. Except Jack's asleep, Morgan's in Alabama and Gen's barely visible behind Caron. :) Oh well!

After the party most of us stayed the night at the Manresa Castle in Port Townsend. It was supposed to be haunted! Jack and Gen really missed Morgan of course.

Made pumpkin cookies with the girls and babies!

Alison read us all a story. It was great to see cousin Amanda (she's holding Tristan).

Teeth, food and using legs

Morgan's in Alabama right now doing some training for his Army job. We miss him. He'll be back before Thanksgiving!

Jack likes to sit in his cousin's walker. He doesn't push himself around yet, but he enjoys standing in it. (And chewing a cloth to ease his teething pain)

Jack is eating some solid food now. Rice cereal was his first. We've also tried applesauce and squash.

Gen's little brother, Dane and his date in a great homecoming photo

If you click on this photo, you can see it up close and check out Jack's two little bottom teeth that he's been working on.

This is Jack's 'Johnny JumpUp'. We call it his Jacky JumpUp. He get so silly in this, mom has to watch him closely.
